About Us
The Humane Society and Adoption Center was organized in 1988 by a small group of very dedicated animal lovers with the intention of helping abandoned homeless and helpless animals enjoy a better life.
It promotes the humane treatment of companion animals by providing socialization, food, shelter and medical care until "forever" homes can be found for them. We house approximately 80 dogs and 90 cats and kittens. Our facilities are unique because the dogs are free to run and play in their fenced yards. Cats are free to roam and play in the large catteries.
Our efforts through a spay/neuter program in conjunction with the county have reduced the euthanasia rate in Aransas County.
